Iceland Photo Giveaway
You would think that I would have thought of posting this link, but I didn't. Thanks Ms. K for the gentle reminder.
In her wonderful Sigh Club blog, Ms. K is offering an Iceland Photo Giveaway. All you have to do is visit this link, tell her what your favorite blogs are, and you'll have a chance to win a lovely photo of Iceland. And believe me, the prints come out beautiful. So, please visit her blog and tell her that "Joe says hello!" Okay, you don't even have to tell her that.
I found out recently that a friend of ours is going to Iceland in April. You can only imagine how jealous I am. But, though the jealousy is coursing through my veins, I will ask--if anyone has any good ideas for things that are going on in Icleand in April, please let me know. Feel free to use the under-utilized comment section.

I found myself having to fly to Copenhagen from Boston a couple of times last year. I searched out my best fare (about $600) both times on Iceland Air, and so changed over in Reykjavik four times total, but never got to go into town. When, out of curiosity, I searched fares to Reykjavik and back, they were prohibitive (more like $1,200!). I wonder if you could get one of those bargain round trips to Denmark, but jump ship in Iceland for cheaper than if you shared your intention.

I think that airlines usually don't allow that. I forget how they enforce it, though I guess they could cancel your return ticket or something.
The next time you travel by Icelandair you should do something they allow legally: arrange a stopover (up to a few days) in Reykjavik on your way to Copenhagen!
