As Heard on NPR
Thanks to my friend PD for alerting me to this National Public Radio story on Grapevine Magazine's recent controversial cover photo. I am, of course, referring to the one you will see on the right when you click on the Grapevine link--not the one of the 101 Reykjavik guy.

Happy National Day
If you're stopping by Iceland today (and yes I know the day is half-over, I forgot to post last night) it's National Day! Here is a list of what's going on in Reykjavik today.
If you can't make it to Iceland, but you're in, say, Copenhagen, here's what you can do there to celebrate Iceland's Independence Day.
And if you just want to read an Icelandic blog to celebrate, I'll point you to Iceland's most popular blogger.
Hope everyone has a great time. We wish we were there!

I Know
I know that I don't post here very often anymore. You'll have to forgive me. Well, you don't have to, but you know what I mean.
If you randomly arrived here searching for information on Iceland, you should browse around. The "Posts of Note" list over there to the right is a great place to start.

Living in Iceland?
Earlier today, in my other blog, I noted a cool blogged website called Living in Europe. As I was looking through it I couldn't find any Icelandic blog writers represented. Anyone looking to contribute to Living in Europe? You can find the contact information somewhere on their site. I found it; it shouldn't be hard to locate.
Oh, and if anyone would like to pay for our plane tickets we'd love to visit Iceland in the summer time. Oh, and Icelandair? If you'd like to take a big, old ad out here on my site, that can be arranged too. Not a problem.
