Recruiting

Well, yesterday here at school we had, as we often do, military recruiters doing their usual thing at a table in the hall: giving out pens and book covers and in doing such hoping to draw in a few potential soldiers. I didn't notice which branch they were from, but we get all of them at one point or another. But today, we had peace recruiters at the table. They seem to recruit the same way as the military--pens, gifts, literature--but what they do is explain to students how the military recruiters lie to students in order to make a life as cannon-fodder seem fun and profitable. Go peace recruiters!

Wether or not you agree with the current conflict, or wether or not you like the current administration, would you relly enjoy the thought of our country having no military volunteers? Think about the implications of that before posting such a juvenile comment.

Thank you anonymous poster for your thoughts but I still have no problem with people trying to expose the lies told to impressionable teenagers to get them to join the military.

I think it's great that people are willing to volunteer to serve--but I don't think that it's great that many of them do so based on false promises.

And I hardly think that my post was juvenile. It may be biased against military recruiters, but it is certainly not juvenile.

Oh, and "wether" is usually spelled "whether"
